- Interesting to read about a new English garden...
Welcome to Home & Garden at Suite101! As an intrepid garden tourist, I am looking forward to reading your articles on gardens open to the public.
I have never been to Studeley Castle, so found your description very interesting.
Is this location what is referred to as Studeley Royal or am I really confusing two locations I've never visited?
Again, well done! And I anticipate many more mini-gardens visits,

In response to Interesting to read about a new English garden... posted by Cercis:Thanks for the welcome and I'm glad you enjoyed the article.
Studley Royal Water Garden (full name: Fountains Abbey and Studley Royal Water Garden) is indeed different from Sudeley Castle - although they sound pretty similar. Another similarity is that they both have ruins, although Studley's sound even better than Sudeley’s as they are the most complete Cistercian Abbey ruins in Britain and a World Heritage Site.
It's funny you mention them as I've just been planning a visit. Apparently, they also have a Georgian water garden and a medieval deer park. Sounds good doesn’t it?

Well...I guess that the spelling gremlin caught me once again
However, I am glad to know the difference.
I do hope you get to visit "Fountains Abbey,"
etc. I'll be looking for an article...
